All good surgeons need to practice their technique on specimens other than living humans! Understanding the planes of our human body give surgeons indication on where and how to made incisions when operating on specific parts of the body. What are these planes called? How can we learn them without performing unnecessary surgeries? The answer is a tasty yellow fruit.
Did you know according to the Government of Saskatchewan, between April and June of 2019 alone there were 23,345 surgeries performed in Saskatchewan? That is equivalent to almost 257 surgeries per day!
