Oil Spill Clean-Up

#FridayFunday

Your mission for this Friday Funday is to clean up “oil” from a simulated oil spill disaster! Crude oil is common in oil spills and will be represented by a canola oil and chocolate powder mixture. Bird’s and wildlife are threatened every day by oil spills in the oceans and the dumping of unauthorized materials into rivers, lake and canals. An oil spill is a form of pollution and happens when crude oil is released into the water or on land. Equipment used to clean oil spills are absorbers, booms, dispersants, skimmers.
