Year Round Learning
Did you know that EYES offers year round programming? That’s right, we don’t just offer summer camps, we work with educators to offer Field Trips, Classroom Visits, attend School events and more! Please note that as EYES hires primarily undergraduate students, we do have a limited programming availability and will do everything we can to work within your schedule to bring a STEM experience to you!
Want to diversify your classroom delivery? Have students who are interested in a more challenging subject and need a hand? We are more than happy to come and visit your classroom for a period or two! All you have to do is let us know what subject you are interested in, and we will work with you to develop a visit that is hands-on and will leave your students wanting more! Please note that our availability is limited as we hire undergraduate students.
Hosting a Maker Day, Career Fair, Science Fair? We are happy to come and hold a booth or work with your students! Please note that our availability is limited as we hire undergraduate students.
Building comfort on campus is one of the keys to students seeing themselves pursuing higher education. If you are interested in bringing you class on campus to experience STEM surrounded by aspiring scientists. Please note that we do not charge for field trips at this time, but we do ask that schools provide their own transportation to and from campus. This helps us keep the costs low!
Some things to consider when planning your field trip:
- What STEM subject(s) are you interested in engaging in, we can do just about anything! If you don’t have an idea in mind we are happy to help you with some ideas.
- Are you interested in a full or half day?
- Would you like to engage an on campus mentor if they are available, like a lab instructor?
- Is this tripped being planned with other services on campus in kind (sports, indigenious student centre etc). We are happy to assist you in making other connections on campus if you are looking to diversify your visit.
