Outreach Efforts
The EYES Outreach Programs pursue the inclusion children for whom various barriers may exist, preventing them from participating in our programs.
Outreach Camps & Programs
EYES Camp is the best place to be in the summer, which is why we work hard to ensure that all youth get the opportunity to learn STEM with us! Outreach camps are conducted in underprivileged regions at a reduced or free cost.
Our financial assistance program provides opportunities to children for whom the camp fee presents a barrier.
EYES instructors deliver camp content to a number of areas in Regina, including various community schools. We also provide free camps and workshops to selected community schools in Regina which are situated in neighbourhoods with a low household income and high Aboriginal population. EYES recognizes the need for more women in non-traditional roles. Our All-Girls Day Camp program is dedicated to helping girls see that science is for everyone and to give them confidence in their scientific abilities.
We are proud to have a week of camp for newcomers to Canada thanks to our partnership with the Open Door Society.
Making camps accessible and affordable are important values here at EYES, so we are always thrilled to take part in Outreach camps! Contact us for more information!
Satellite Camps
Could you imagine desperately wanting to go to EYES summer camp but not being in Regina to attend one? Well, have no fear, because Satellite camps are here! Satellite camps bring EYES summer camps to different areas in Saskatchewan. A group of trained EYES instructors will hop in a van with all essential EYES camp materials, drive to another town, and deliver the same curriculum-based activities that campers in Regina will receive. We have Satellite camps in many locations across Saskatchewan, including Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Estevan, Esterhazy, Foam Lake, and many more! Don’t miss out on the fun of EYES camp, because we are more than happy to come and do a Satellite camp for you in your own town!
inSTEM Camps
At EYES we believe that STEM should be accessible to everyone. This is why we decided to begin offering EYES programming on Indigenous Reserves! Hence the name inSTEM! This fairly new initiative was introduced in order to reduce barriers that Indigneous Youth on reserve may face when pursuing their passion in STEM. We try our best to help youth overcome barriers in all our programming. This initiative specifically we engage with the youth with a willingness to adapt as we invite more people to the table. Because at the end of the day, STEM is for everyone!
