Episode 20 – Fluffy Fraction Frenzy

Have you ever eaten a pizza? You may have eaten the pizza in one whole piece without cutting it into slices first (no judgement), but typically the pizza is cut into many pieces! These may either be triangle or square. However it is cut, each piece represents a fraction. A fraction is a number that describes part of the whole. If you cut your pizza into eight pieces, for example, one of those pizza slices would represent 1/8 of the pizza! If you ate four pieces, you would have eaten half, or 1/2, of the pizza. Yum!

Before we get too hungry about talking about pizza, let’s consider a recipe. But not a recipe to bake cookies, this is a recipe to make fluffy slime! Follow along our EYES team as they show us how to use fractions to make fun slime and what these fractions mean in the recipe.
