Episode 45 – Soccer Scratch
First, you will need to download the Soccer Scratch lab manual.
Scratch is a coding program that can be used to create short animations using code! Code is a language that is understood by our computer. There are many different kinds of coding languages, just as there are many kinds of spoken languages! The code we will use in this activity is block coding, which simply involves dragging and dropping a code onto a workspace.
Through the drags and drops of many different codes, we will assemble a functional animation of a sprite playing soccer! A sprite is essentially a character in our animation. What other animations can you make from this simple tutorial?
